Day 1 of the Paleo Diet
So this morning I woke up and weighed myself.
307lbs. This will be my officially starting point.
I’m actually shocked at 307 because before I got sick, I was at 310. I guess not being able to taste anything, therefor not eating a lot paid off.
I think I shrunk my stomach. A lot. I definitely do not eat as much anymore. This is a blessing. Yesterday I lived it up. It was my last eat whatever day before I cut out everything bad. SO I ate a egg, bacon and cheese sammich for breakfast (one slice of toast for the sammy, and then the other one with jam!) For lunch my momma ordered pizza hut. I had wings, a bread stick, and one square of pizza. I was really full after that. For dinner I had one square of pizza. For dessert I had vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup and a sliced strawberry.
Yup.
I lived it up. I really wanted a burrito. But I’ll survive without it.
This is the best I’ve felt about dieting. I’m actually looking forward to sticking to it.
My first order of business this morning was to do the dishes. Prep for my veggie roast!
I sliced up red, yellow, and orange bell peppers. Then I realized I didn’t want to roast those so I put them in the fridge. HEY! that will be great for other meals!
I then cut up some eggplant and butternut squash and washed mushrooms. I minced some garlic, put pepper and a dash of salt on it. (Seriously not a lot) and mixed garlic and olive oil with the veggies.
I was going to do some zucchini as well, but I didn’t feel like it, so that will be used for a different meal.
Prep time took about a half an hour once it was all said and done. Now they’re roasting in the oven. It smells wonderful and its only been about 10 minutes.
For the next two weeks, I’m going to be learning what to eat, and how to prioritize my time. Its very important on this diet because you have to prepare your food. I don’t want to turn to anything processed so this is important to me. I work in the afternoons and so I know I need to wake up at a decent time to get my food together.
This morning I woke up a little later than I wanted, but I didn’t dilly dady around. I got straight to work because I know roasting veggies take a long time.
I just realized I forgot the onions.
Hahahaha, oh well! Next time!
I ate a banana for breakfast. It did its job and filled me up.
The veggies smell so good! Hopefully they taste just as good!
This is all for now. Day one of paleo has started out well!
